Zodiac: Aries

Another round of  Zodiac from Hottie Cooterati is upon us and this month is a personal favorite of mine: Aries.  I am an Aries, and in many ways fit the description of one to a T.  I am  fiery and passionate, at times impulsive, adventurous,  and much to poor Chance's consternation, I can be very stubborn.  As his sign, Taurus the Bull can also be, it can make for some interesting debates.  Though my temper can sometimes be quick, mostly do to that stubbornness and independence, I am also just as quick to laugh and love.  In looking at different sites to describe an Aries like me, I found this one showed both the positive and negative pretty well...  

I am very social, and love to be around people.  I do love that Chance will indulge this in me, and also will keep me grounded in our "home" time so we don't lose touch with each other in  a whirlwind of social events.  

I am very proud to be an Aries, the first sun sign of the Zodiac.  It fits who I am, both my good and my faults.   AND! it gives me a lovely birthday in the spring!  Hurray for April 10th!  Feel free to drop me a hello on that day!

Its the little things

This post is going to be a bit different from others I have done.  Its not a fashion post, or anything really promoting anything, at least not directly.. but a post that I hope will warm your heart as much as it did mine....

Let me tell you a little story.  For weeks now, Chance and I have been battling our respective illnesses.  From hospitalizations, to ER visits...  Days spent bedridden and nights spent crying for our pain..  but still we've managed to keep in touch through our texts, our phones, and the little bit of time we manage to get in our SL home to be together.  Without a doubt, its hard on us.  Not having our time upsets us both, making us grumpy and sad, but its the little moments where the joy and fullness of our love shines through, and helps make the time apart a little easier.   

Thanks to my wonderful cajun, we shared one of those moments a little while ago.  Though we are usually rather private, this is one of those times I wish to share with you all.

Chance's love of any game of chance is no secret and it most definitely applies to the Gacha machines at the Arcade Gacha Event . While he was there, my love found something he knew he had to have.  Not for himself, but to give to me.  Try as he might, after many lindens spent, he left without the item he coveted so greatly. ...  ya know, perhaps this will tell the story a little better than I...

[13:37] Chance Raynier: so i sent them to her and she said it made her night and she was so happy because she tried ALOT and no one else had an extra

Balancing Act

So as a single mom in RL, juggling school and kids can be tough.  Toss in my Second Life, with my amazing cajun, our animals, our blogs it all becomes a balancing act that sometimes can be overwhelming.  But even achieving that balance can be fun when you put it into a different perspective!  Chance asked the other day about boots for me on plurk and, as he often does, spent some time looking for the perfect item for me, even when I didn't know I needed it!  These Charlie boots by Ju Weissnicht are amazing!  They come in three different foot and three different calf sizes in each color.  You can get the fatpack of ALL THE COLORS! or they come in sets of three amazing color packs.  So many to chose from, and I know I will have boots for almost any outfit!  Like this dress, a new release from (Elate!) Perfect fit, and so many colors to chose from! Definitely a must have!  And of course, let us not forget one of the new releases from >TRUTH<.  I LOVE the long curly looks and curly is not always easy to find in mesh hair, so I really love how this one lays over the shoulder in a gorgeous cascade of curls!

It really is all about the balance isn't it?  And nothing seems to show that off better than this pose set from Adorkable Poses.  I have been wanting to use this for some time and I am so glad to finally have the chance to do so!  The chairs come in three colors: black, brown wood, and white so you can match any background and the poses are fun and creative!

*Dilly Dolls* has released these awesome men's corduroy mesh pants with her awesome color changing hud.  Luckily, Chance had gotten them as well because I was really trying to figure out how to make my but manly!!    I love the way they fit him.. Waiting For a Chance

*Dilly Dolls*  has released this super sexy corset!  It comes in both light and dark colors (I am wearing the light version, and of course, knowing my love for pink, have used the handy HUD and well.. Pink it is!)  
What makes these corsets really unique is the HUD I mentioned that comes with it!  What a great idea!!


Pairing this with the new >Truth< Aurora hair really gave this photo the sensual look I was aiming for!  To be honest, this was one hair that when I saw the photo I was like.. eh, not one of my favs,  and then I tried it! This mesh hair will quickly become a favorite of mine and I'm sure you'll see it often! My poor neglected blog! 

It's been months since its seen a post and how sad is that?!    But, here it is everyone!   Omg .. I visited faMESHed today..   and I think Chance was very proud because I went shopping on my own with out him dragging me!  But i SO had to have this outfit from {Cracked Mirror}  The Nicolette Skirt and Tank were an awesome fit, paired with Izzie's mesh sunglasses, SLink rigged mesh feet and NEW ilena sandals, and last but not least, Truth's newest group gift, Jessie set a great stage for this photo!!  The event link is above the photo and WOW i took care of credits all right here *grins*

Happy New Year!!

Another year has come and gone, and with it so much has happened.  A question asked today on Plurk was "What did you learn in 2011?"     For me, there were a few things.  I learned that I could let my walls down completely (this one took a while!) and let someone back in and know that yes, that DID give that person the power to hurt me more than anyone else, but the risk.. and for me it was huge, of that pain, was more than worth it.  I found my other half.  I know it can sound cheesy.  I know it doesnt always make sense to find love this way, and I know that being across the country from each other makes this all the harder.  But I have found (another epiphany)  That love, true deep unconditional love, can transcend time, distance and so much more. (this IS about you, Chance!! *grins*)  

In my other life I have learned that I can not always change the past, and no amount of my guilt, or anger is going to change what happened.  All I can control is to guide where the future will go.  For me, and for my children. 

I've also learned overall.. That you can not please everyone all the time.  And that it IS ok to disagree with someone you love.  it may hurt at first, but you dont always have to see eye to eye on something.   And even if you dont agree, try to understand it.

The last couple of years had been very hard on me personally.  I wont go into details but suffice to say some major changes came about in my life and I have had alot of growing to do.   For all of the downs in 2011, there were so many more ups.  And I am very blessed. 

From both of us, May 2012 bring you good health, love, happiness and everything you may.. well not necessarily want, but everything you may need.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

So its Black Friday Weekend!  and OMG the sales in SL have taken over!  there just isnt enough time to get to them all!.. I do have to say, that I went to the one at *BOOM* with Chance and OMG I got some AWESOME buys there..   The sale is 60% off yestereday (thats when i went in and grabbed stuff up lol) 40% off today, and 25% off tomorrow.  The clothes are amazing!  The shirt, scarf AND pants, are all from there.. and for me that is unusual, as I normally mix up who I am wearing often...   The clothing is realistic and very well made, well fitting and honestly?  I feel great wearing this beautiful cashmere sweater..  As I just said to Chance.. " I feel like really sexy in this outfit!  I'd do me!".. yeah..  I know, I have issues *grins*   ... but I'm really loveable!...

**NSFW** - Comfortable In My Own Skin...

Hello my friends =)   I hope everyone is doing well!

So not too long ago, my beloved husband, Chance, posted this amazing expression of himself..   Chance Raynier : Self Portrait - Exposed..   It gave me the inspiration for this post of my own, as did this beautiful new skin I purchased for myself during the wonderful sale at Belleza! 

Now, for a very long time, I was what could be considered a Curio girl.  I have had my curio skin in some form since not long after rezzing in SL...  The Acorn Dark shade that I used I had always found to be the perfect one for me!  A touch of golden, yet with an olivey tone.. well ..  close to my own RL tone in the summer ..  Time and again I would try different skins from all of the best named brands.  And while I have come across some amazingly beautiful ones, I could never quite match the tone I was trying to get..

Until now.. OH MAH GAWD I love this skin!  I love the smoothness of the skin, and it has helped me regain some of my.. "sexy"  at a time I wasnt feeling it quite so much... I suppose at times we all need that boost ...    And now I can honestly say, I am once again comfortable in my own skin...

Inspire Challenge: Chance Raynier

Many of you know  this spicy cajun, Chance Raynier  In the last couple of weeks, you have been seeing more and more of him and his blog  The Ramblings of the Ragin Cajun  Each week not only do his photos get more detailed and better, but he adds more to this amazing, witty, and down to earth blog.   His fashion sense is unparalleled.  As you can see, in each picture he knows EXACTLY what will work and man.. he knows how to work it! *grins*...

I cant begin to tell you how proud I am of this amazing man..  Ok, so perhaps I am a little biased on how great he is, however, I also have the opportunity to see  first hand just how hard he works to create each piece..  As many of you know, he is in daily pain, some days more intense then others, but, never letting up.  At times, taking the pictures could literally take hours!..  Besides the fact that he is an absolute perfectionist, his creativity and amazing sense of style show through in every post and all of that takes alot of thought and effort, that sometimes with a chronic illness such as his is all the harder to do. 

Chance, You know how much I love you..  You also inspire me...  Yes my blog has a different tone.. More casual, more candid.. but you are the one who has inspired me to try and make it more ..  Thank you.. and I cant wait to see what more you have in store!!
