Luna's 52 weeks Challenge: Champagne week 1

Ok so, the fabulous Luna Jubilee has started her 2nd 52 Weeks Of Color Challenge.. Personally I had missed last years because.. well. I wasnt into blogging and photos then.. but now! Look out world! This is a fun challenge and its amazing to see what everyone comes up with to showcase the weeks color!

This week was Champagne... Very fitting for the first week of the New Year, no? So without further ado, here is my submission for "Champagne"

Happy New Year!!

Another year has come and gone, and with it so much has happened. A question asked today on Plurk was "What did you learn in 2011?"     For me, there were a few things. I learned that I could let my walls down completely (this one took a while!) and let someone back in and know that yes, that DID give that person the power to hurt me more than anyone else, but the risk.. and for me it was huge, of that pain, was more than worth it. I found my other half. I know it can sound cheesy. I know it doesnt always make sense to find love this way, and I know that being across the country from each other makes this all the harder. But I have found (another epiphany) That love, true deep unconditional love, can transcend time, distance and so much more. (this IS about you, Chance!! *grins*)

In my other life I have learned that I can not always change the past, and no amount of my guilt, or anger is going to change what happened. All I can control is to guide where the future will go. For me, and for my children.

I've also learned overall.. That you can not please everyone all the time. And that it IS ok to disagree with someone you love. it may hurt at first, but you dont always have to see eye to eye on something.   And even if you dont agree, try to understand it.

The last couple of years had been very hard on me personally. I wont go into details but suffice to say some major changes came about in my life and I have had alot of growing to do.   For all of the downs in 2011, there were so many more ups. And I am very blessed.

From both of us, May 2012 bring you good health, love, happiness and everything you may.. well not necessarily want, but everything you may need.

Dont ~Gawk~ At me!

Well ok.. *grins* if you must... Gawk! away! I am gawking to, to be honest! This adorable leopard print dress was found there on a recent shopping spree =) I put it on for the first time, with this omgtodiefor shoes from Mstyle and was just like.. *drool* .. yeah.. one of those times I said.. Damn I'd do me =P Seriously.. I loved the look and ya'll know me.. I only post when something inspires me, and this was something I wanted to show off..

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

So its Black Friday Weekend! and OMG the sales in SL have taken over! there just isnt enough time to get to them all!.. I do have to say, that I went to the one at *BOOM* with Chance and OMG I got some AWESOME buys there.. The sale is 60% off yestereday (thats when i went in and grabbed stuff up lol) 40% off today, and 25% off tomorrow. The clothes are amazing! The shirt, scarf AND pants, are all from there.. and for me that is unusual, as I normally mix up who I am wearing often... The clothing is realistic and very well made, well fitting and honestly? I feel great wearing this beautiful cashmere sweater.. As I just said to Chance.. " I feel like really sexy in this outfit! I'd do me!".. yeah.. I know, I have issues *grins* ... but I'm really loveable!...

And one more thing, before I go. I know I mentioned this on plurk a couple of times, however, I want to take a moment to send kudos to the owner of Boom.. her customer service was outstanding, and not only did she send me an item that i hadnt even realized had delivery failure, while i was still shopping, but when I returned her IM, she was sweet and gracious and this last statement to me says it all on how she feels about her customers...

NSFW - Comfortable In My Own Skin...

Hello my friends =)   I hope everyone is doing well!

So not too long ago, my beloved husband, Chance, posted this amazing expression of himself.. Chance Raynier : Self Portrait - Exposed..   It gave me the inspiration for this post of my own, as did this beautiful new skin I purchased for myself during the wonderful sale at Belleza!

Now, for a very long time, I was what could be considered a Curio girl. I have had my curio skin in some form since not long after rezzing in SL...  The Acorn Dark shade that I used I had always found to be the perfect one for me! A touch of golden, yet with an olivey tone.. well .. close to my own RL tone in the summer .. Time and again I would try different skins from all of the best named brands. And while I have come across some amazingly beautiful ones, I could never quite match the tone I was trying to get..

Until now.. OH MAH GAWD I love this skin!  I love the smoothness of the skin, and it has helped me regain some of my.. "sexy" at a time I wasnt feeling it quite so much... I suppose at times we all need that boost ...    And now I can honestly say, I am once again comfortable in my own skin...
