Cinema! ~ Pretty in Pink

So on Saturday, October 13th, the Cinema 2012! event by The Hottie Cooterati Experience opened to the public.  This much anticipated event has been a smash hit ever since, with the sim consistently crowded and the SL world being wowed by the amazing offerings of the participating designers.  I will say, had this been a true movie premiere, box office records would have been broken!

 As a teen of the 80's, (yes I know, I am old! LOL) Pretty in Pink was one of my favorite movies, along with other greats such as St Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club and so many more.   Just look at the line up of the stars! Andrew McCarthy, Molly Ringwald, just to name a couple, part of the original brat pack that grew up with those of us in that decade.   With this in mind, I put together this gorgeous pink ensemble.  And anyone that knows me knows that Pink is of course one of my signature colors, right behind rainbow!  

So if you haven't been down to Cinema 2012! yet,  be sure you grab a date and go to the movies.  And make sure you check out the amazing build, which I might add is all mesh!! You will not only be amazed at the great shopping experience, but the visual and social appeal of the Cinema 2012! make it an adventure!   If I were Siskel and Ebert, I would give it two thumbs up!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

So its Black Friday Weekend!  and OMG the sales in SL have taken over!  there just isnt enough time to get to them all!.. I do have to say, that I went to the one at *BOOM* with Chance and OMG I got some AWESOME buys there..   The sale is 60% off yestereday (thats when i went in and grabbed stuff up lol) 40% off today, and 25% off tomorrow.  The clothes are amazing!  The shirt, scarf AND pants, are all from there.. and for me that is unusual, as I normally mix up who I am wearing often...   The clothing is realistic and very well made, well fitting and honestly?  I feel great wearing this beautiful cashmere sweater..  As I just said to Chance.. " I feel like really sexy in this outfit!  I'd do me!".. yeah..  I know, I have issues *grins*   ... but I'm really loveable!...

And one more thing, before I go.  I know I mentioned this on plurk a couple of times, however, I want to take a moment to send kudos to the owner of Boom..  her customer service was outstanding, and not only did she send me an item that i hadnt even realized had delivery failure, while i was still shopping, but when I returned her IM, she was sweet and gracious and this last statement to me says it all on how she feels about her customers...

The Theme Park...

So I dropped into the The Theme Park for a few moments this evening, as my good friend Lucie Bluebird(amazing creator and owner of Embody Shapes and Poses) and Radagast Lexington have been working so  hard on it!  Truthfully I have been looking forward to seeing what it was all about from the first plurk mention from Lucie LOL!  And tonight is the Grand Opening!!  10pm SLT!  

From the moment I TP'd in,  I could feel the slight chill in the air,  the breeze off the ocean,   it was a beautiful crisp autumn early evening and what was there to greet me but..  FREE COFFEE!!..   Now,  any kind of coffee is good (except in this authors opinion Starbucks.. but thats for another blog)..  but Free coffee?  *grins* All the better..     I glanced around sipping the hot beverage .. taking a moment to let everything sink in, and I have to say, this is an amazing concept! Two Themed Events per month.. well.. in the words of the creators themselves:

  "The Theme Park is a unique new outdoor shopping experience from the owners of Embody Shapes & Poses.  Designed as an upscale, urban seaside park, The Theme Park isn't just a place to shop.  It's a place to grab a coffee, choose a bench, and listen to the surf and the songbirds.  We've made it a nice place to be, and a great place to shop.

The Theme Park runs two themed sales events each month, starting on the 1st and the 15th.  For each edition, every participating creator will have at least one item that's priced at L$150 or less AND is at least 50% off the regular price.

If you want us to let you know about upcoming themes, news and events, you can join our subscriber group from the sign that gave you this notecard or by clicking a joiner at the park itself."

  Designers! If you are watching and havent yet get in there??  CONTACT one of these great people and get on a board..  because not only are they inexpensive,  the whole area is put together in such a way that there is no "bad" spot..   as people walk through you can find a plethora of different items available..   poses, props, decorations.. Most for this theme put out alot of Halloweenie things..   I did pick up a few of them however, as the grand opening for this amazing place is in only a couple of hour, I wanted to get this info out there to everyone.   I will have a list of stores at the bottom of the post.. but definately! Go check this out..   and in the meantime *smiles* Im going to pull up the collar of this awesome L&B Aviator Womens Leather Jacket (blog soon to follow)   keep warm from the slight chill in the air..   and enjoy my coffee and the awesome view..
