Cinema! ~ Pretty in Pink

So on Saturday, October 13th, the Cinema 2012! event by The Hottie Cooterati Experience opened to the public.  This much anticipated event has been a smash hit ever since, with the sim consistently crowded and the SL world being wowed by the amazing offerings of the participating designers.  I will say, had this been a true movie premiere, box office records would have been broken!

 As a teen of the 80's, (yes I know, I am old! LOL) Pretty in Pink was one of my favorite movies, along with other greats such as St Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club and so many more.   Just look at the line up of the stars! Andrew McCarthy, Molly Ringwald, just to name a couple, part of the original brat pack that grew up with those of us in that decade.   With this in mind, I put together this gorgeous pink ensemble.  And anyone that knows me knows that Pink is of course one of my signature colors, right behind rainbow!  

So if you haven't been down to Cinema 2012! yet,  be sure you grab a date and go to the movies.  And make sure you check out the amazing build, which I might add is all mesh!! You will not only be amazed at the great shopping experience, but the visual and social appeal of the Cinema 2012! make it an adventure!   If I were Siskel and Ebert, I would give it two thumbs up!

Balancing Act

So as a single mom in RL, juggling school and kids can be tough.  Toss in my Second Life, with my amazing cajun, our animals, our blogs it all becomes a balancing act that sometimes can be overwhelming.  But even achieving that balance can be fun when you put it into a different perspective!  Chance asked the other day about boots for me on plurk and, as he often does, spent some time looking for the perfect item for me, even when I didn't know I needed it!  These Charlie boots by Ju Weissnicht are amazing!  They come in three different foot and three different calf sizes in each color.  You can get the fatpack of ALL THE COLORS! or they come in sets of three amazing color packs.  So many to chose from, and I know I will have boots for almost any outfit!  Like this dress, a new release from (Elate!) Perfect fit, and so many colors to chose from! Definitely a must have!  And of course, let us not forget one of the new releases from >TRUTH<.  I LOVE the long curly looks and curly is not always easy to find in mesh hair, so I really love how this one lays over the shoulder in a gorgeous cascade of curls!

It really is all about the balance isn't it?  And nothing seems to show that off better than this pose set from Adorkable Poses.  I have been wanting to use this for some time and I am so glad to finally have the chance to do so!  The chairs come in three colors: black, brown wood, and white so you can match any background and the poses are fun and creative!

Goin' on a trip!

So, Chance says to me this morning, "Gabriella!  Mon amour we are goin' to take a trip!"  But it seems as he was packing up the car for our surprise excursion, a couple of the kittys decided they weren't being left behind!  ALL credit for the wonderful props and landscaping and even the idea for this photo goes to that amazing cajun!   These photos are just my take on it.  And away we go!

*Dilly Dolls* has new releases! YAY!  These mesh Lani boots I am showing above are available in a wide variety of colors and styles. I love the way they DO make my legs seem to go on forever.  As soon as I put them on, I thought OH YEAH!  Pair them with a punky skirt and They are perfect!  Sexy hints of thigh between the skirt and the top of the boots make me ready to go out clubbing with Mr. Raynier!   Top it all off with this sexy tank from Spearsong and I'm ready to show him that his woman has still got it, huh? 
 
The wonderful creator of *Dilly Dolls*, Oriana Kuhr also released a number of mesh eyes.  For this I DID step out of my comfort zone a bit because as we all know *grins*  Gabby is strictly a brown eyed girl.  But I thought the different look was fun to do! There are three different types, but I found myself really liking the Eclipse sets that she had, as I am showing below.  Again, her color variety on all three versions of her mesh eyes is vast, something that anyone could like!   

Ok, now to find that Cajun and drag him out for a night out dancing!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

So its Black Friday Weekend!  and OMG the sales in SL have taken over!  there just isnt enough time to get to them all!.. I do have to say, that I went to the one at *BOOM* with Chance and OMG I got some AWESOME buys there..   The sale is 60% off yestereday (thats when i went in and grabbed stuff up lol) 40% off today, and 25% off tomorrow.  The clothes are amazing!  The shirt, scarf AND pants, are all from there.. and for me that is unusual, as I normally mix up who I am wearing often...   The clothing is realistic and very well made, well fitting and honestly?  I feel great wearing this beautiful cashmere sweater..  As I just said to Chance.. " I feel like really sexy in this outfit!  I'd do me!".. yeah..  I know, I have issues *grins*   ... but I'm really loveable!...

Happy 4th Rez Day, Zaara!!

Hello Everyone!!  yes, I know its been a little while since my last post.  Chance and I have been busy planning the wedding and just last night have moved our home so are still in the process of setting up our new land YAY!.... 

However, I found out this morning that it is the official SL Birthday of an amazing  and super nice designer we have amongst us!  Zaara Kohime, owner and designer of {Zaara} fashions.  And how do I know what an amazing designer she is?....  Well Chance took me shopping of course!!  {Zaara} was having a huge 50% off sale a few weeks ago and BOY did I add to my wardrobe!!   Not only was her store beautifully appointed, but the fashions were amazing!  So, I thought for her SLBirthday, I would focus my bloggerness on her today..   Hope you are having a super happy one, Zaara!!    Now to let just a few of the amazing fashions speak for themselves  ( BTW this by no means reflects the extent of {Zaara}'s designs in my closet..  *grins*  there is MUCH more!!)

Be Unique! Get Fierce!

Where oh where has Gabby shopped this week? *grins*  As you can see behind me..  I went to visit a new to me store called Fierce ... First off, let me just say, jumping into this site was Such fun!!  First off, if you look behind me?  you'll see a bunch of little doors!  I so felt like Alice in Wonderland!  Curiouser and Curiouser! Each door will TP you to that specific part of the store.. SUCH fun!   For me, I went in the main entrance and decided to follow it around to see what fun I could find.  And find it I did!  From MM boards to a nightclub, you can find it all here!..    And then the designs of Sally Soleil are amazing!   Below you will see a mixture of some of the amazing outfits I have from there..  For the Independence day holiday there are some super great promotional items... 
Starting with Yankee Doodle Dandy *grins*.. then Lady Liberty!!   A USA Boxer.. and many more items are available for the holiday!  You'll also find a WIDE array of super hero costumes and other great imaginative outifts here!

Now also available at this great store are every day clothes,  evening clothes..  in many styles and colors..   This adorable mini dress is just one example!!

The dress below is also another..  Be warned! the dress below is a limited edition!!  While I did not take my picture in this gown yet, only 150 of these will be made EVER!  ( I bought one for myself, soooo..  there are less than 149 still available =P )  I chose to use the promotional poster for this so you can get all the info.. but.. Omg! I tried mine on, and how adorable is it!   On top of the amazing detail, as you are walking..  *whispers*  Little roses are left in your wake!!  They'll stay for about 20seconds..   great to remind people you were there *super grin*

Retro at the beach!

Ok.. have you BEEN to /artilleri/ yet?....  I should back up here a little..  A while back, Chance dragged me shopping (yes, he has to drag me often LOL but once we are out doing it we always have so much fun..   HE is the shopper in the family! =) )   We were looking for clothing for some photos he wanted to take and one of the series we were going to do was a 50s theme..   He immediately said.. "we HAVE to go to /artilleri/ Gabby.. this designer has the perfect clothes for this"  Plus I think he knew I'd like the store..   Needless to day, we had a great shopping spree that day!  I will definately have to blog some of those outfits soon!     If you are looking for something retro, rockabilly, or just super cool, you MUST come see this store!  The designer is Antonia Marat, an adorable talented young woman that I am so glad to have gotten to know. Besides clothing, she also has some wonderful "olden days" style furniture and other items.. You have to see it!  And Not only is she an amazing designer, but a truly genuine, funny and down to earth person..  Antie keep up the amazing work!

My most recent purchase is the swimsuit above.   I have a pageant coming up for Miss Sophisticated with Classic w/Style on Sunday..  and the swimsuit theme was 60's...  I walked into the store, and immediately spotted this awesome one piece and fell in love.. Not only does it come in this fantabulous pink, but blue, red black and more!   For me, I picked the pink..  *grins* specifically cause it went so well with this spectacular pair of glasses that Antie had in the FLF not long ago...
