Zodiac: Aries

Another round of  Zodiac from Hottie Cooterati is upon us and this month is a personal favorite of mine: Aries.  I am an Aries, and in many ways fit the description of one to a T.  I am  fiery and passionate, at times impulsive, adventurous,  and much to poor Chance's consternation, I can be very stubborn.  As his sign, Taurus the Bull can also be, it can make for some interesting debates.  Though my temper can sometimes be quick, mostly do to that stubbornness and independence, I am also just as quick to laugh and love.  In looking at different sites to describe an Aries like me, I found this one showed both the positive and negative pretty well...  

I am very social, and love to be around people.  I do love that Chance will indulge this in me, and also will keep me grounded in our "home" time so we don't lose touch with each other in  a whirlwind of social events.  

I am very proud to be an Aries, the first sun sign of the Zodiac.  It fits who I am, both my good and my faults.   AND! it gives me a lovely birthday in the spring!  Hurray for April 10th!  Feel free to drop me a hello on that day!

Balancing Act

So as a single mom in RL, juggling school and kids can be tough.  Toss in my Second Life, with my amazing cajun, our animals, our blogs it all becomes a balancing act that sometimes can be overwhelming.  But even achieving that balance can be fun when you put it into a different perspective!  Chance asked the other day about boots for me on plurk and, as he often does, spent some time looking for the perfect item for me, even when I didn't know I needed it!  These Charlie boots by Ju Weissnicht are amazing!  They come in three different foot and three different calf sizes in each color.  You can get the fatpack of ALL THE COLORS! or they come in sets of three amazing color packs.  So many to chose from, and I know I will have boots for almost any outfit!  Like this dress, a new release from (Elate!) Perfect fit, and so many colors to chose from! Definitely a must have!  And of course, let us not forget one of the new releases from >TRUTH<.  I LOVE the long curly looks and curly is not always easy to find in mesh hair, so I really love how this one lays over the shoulder in a gorgeous cascade of curls!

It really is all about the balance isn't it?  And nothing seems to show that off better than this pose set from Adorkable Poses.  I have been wanting to use this for some time and I am so glad to finally have the chance to do so!  The chairs come in three colors: black, brown wood, and white so you can match any background and the poses are fun and creative!

Dilly Dolls, faMESHed and VF2012!

*Dilly Dolls* has released these awesome men's corduroy mesh pants with her awesome color changing hud.  Luckily, Chance had gotten them as well because I was really trying to figure out how to make my but manly!!    I love the way they fit him.. Rawr!   The dress I'm wearing I picked up at faMESHed, of course in Pink!  and these shoes from Ingenue have quickly become a favorite!   The furniture from Sway's is adorable and colorful, and the pose from Diesel Works just pulls in something that ALWAYS is a hit with us! *Dilly Dolls* has new releases! YAY!  These mesh Lani boots I am showing above are available in a wide variety of colors and styles. I love the way they DO make my legs seem to go on forever.  As soon as I put them on, I thought OH YEAH!  Pair them with a punky skirt and They are perfect!  Sexy hints of thigh between the skirt and the top of the boots make me ready to go out clubbing with Mr. Raynier!   Top it all off with this sexy tank from Spearsong and I'm ready to show him that his woman has still got it, huh? 
 
The wonderful creator of *Dilly Dolls*, Oriana Kuhr also released a number of mesh eyes.  For this I DID step out of my comfort zone a bit because as we all know *grins*  Gabby is strictly a brown eyed girl.  But I thought the different look was fun to do! There are three different types, but I found myself really liking the Eclipse sets that she had, as I am showing below.  Again, her color variety on all three versions of her mesh eyes is vast, something that anyone could like!   

Ok, now to find that Cajun and drag him out for a night out dancing!

What's your digits? Take Two- The Mesh Revolution!

The amazingly talented Strawberry Singh issued a new challenge recently (Click upon her name for the blog post).  A while back she had asked the question, what are your digits?   Since then, with the emergence of Mesh and standard sizing and the like, she asks again...  What are your digits NOW?  Have you changed or conformed to fit Standard sizing or have you bucked the new mesh in hopes of the deformer being released soon?   Personally, I found that my avi wasn't far off of a Medium size in standard sizing.  With a few minor adjustments to standard, and some nips and tucks here and there depending on designer of different clothes, I found I could easily fit into the plethora of mesh clothing now available in our virtual world.  Things I love about mesh?  it moves with you,  it looks more realistic, no prim patches for skirts!...  One thing I don't like is when wearing a skirt, and the alpha layer, and sitting? how you often lose your body..   But with time that will hopefully be fixed.  Overall I am amazed at how lovely the clothes look.  Very rarely have I been unhappy with a mesh find, and I feel that I can be even more creative and have more options available to me now than ever before!   

Anyway... now that I've babbled =)  I am going to show you the after (now) picture first, and the before (then) next.   Do disregard the model figure in the first picture, as I am no longer doing that, I did not include two shapes on the now version.

 I can honestly say I am happy in my own skin right now, and with this new and improved version of myself =)   Thanks for asking, Berry!  I hope this answered your question.... (Moving to flickr to add to the group LOL)

My poor neglected blog! 

It's been months since its seen a post and how sad is that?!    But, here it is everyone!   Omg .. I visited faMESHed today..   and I think Chance was very proud because I went shopping on my own with out him dragging me!  But i SO had to have this outfit from {Cracked Mirror}  The Nicolette Skirt and Tank were an awesome fit, paired with Izzie's mesh sunglasses, SLink rigged mesh feet and NEW ilena sandals, and last but not least, Truth's newest group gift, Jessie set a great stage for this photo!!  The event link is above the photo and WOW i took care of credits all right here *grins*

On another note, Positivity.  Omg it has ABOUNDED on Plurk this evening.  Someone started a meme, stating to basically send them a private plurk with a random number.  they would then take that number and respond publicly with a NICE thing about you!  It has taken over and it is SO very nice to see all the great things people love about each other!!  Thank you plurkers! you made my night!

So its Black Friday Weekend!  and OMG the sales in SL have taken over!  there just isnt enough time to get to them all!.. I do have to say, that I went to the one at *BOOM* with Chance and OMG I got some AWESOME buys there..   The sale is 60% off yestereday (thats when i went in and grabbed stuff up lol) 40% off today, and 25% off tomorrow.  The clothes are amazing!  The shirt, scarf AND pants, are all from there.. and for me that is unusual, as I normally mix up who I am wearing often...   The clothing is realistic and very well made, well fitting and honestly?  I feel great wearing this beautiful cashmere sweater..  As I just said to Chance.. " I feel like really sexy in this outfit!  I'd do me!".. yeah..  I know, I have issues *grins*   ... but I'm really loveable!...

**NSFW** - Comfortable In My Own Skin...

Hello my friends =)   I hope everyone is doing well!

So not too long ago, my beloved husband, Chance, posted this amazing expression of himself..   Chance Raynier : Self Portrait - Exposed..   It gave me the inspiration for this post of my own, as did this beautiful new skin I purchased for myself during the wonderful sale at Belleza! 

Now, for a very long time, I was what could be considered a Curio girl.  I have had my curio skin in some form since not long after rezzing in SL...  The Acorn Dark shade that I used I had always found to be the perfect one for me!  A touch of golden, yet with an olivey tone.. well ..  close to my own RL tone in the summer ..  Time and again I would try different skins from all of the best named brands.  And while I have come across some amazingly beautiful ones, I could never quite match the tone I was trying to get..

Until now.. OH MAH GAWD I love this skin!  I love the smoothness of the skin, and it has helped me regain some of my.. "sexy"  at a time I wasnt feeling it quite so much... I suppose at times we all need that boost ...    And now I can honestly say, I am once again comfortable in my own skin...

The Theme Park...

So I dropped into the The Theme Park for a few moments this evening, as my good friend Lucie Bluebird(amazing creator and owner of Embody Shapes and Poses) and Radagast Lexington have been working so  hard on it!  Truthfully I have been looking forward to seeing what it was all about from the first plurk mention from Lucie LOL!  And tonight is the Grand Opening!!  10pm SLT!  

From the moment I TP'd in,  I could feel the slight chill in the air,  the breeze off the ocean,   it was a beautiful crisp autumn early evening and what was there to greet me but..  FREE COFFEE!!..   Now,  any kind of coffee is good (except in this authors opinion Starbucks.. but thats for another blog)..  but Free coffee?  *grins* All the better..     I glanced around sipping the hot beverage .. taking a moment to let everything sink in, and I have to say, this is an amazing concept! Two Themed Events per month.. well.. in the words of the creators themselves:

  "The Theme Park is a unique new outdoor shopping experience from the owners of Embody Shapes & Poses.  Designed as an upscale, urban seaside park, The Theme Park isn't just a place to shop.  It's a place to grab a coffee, choose a bench, and listen to the surf and the songbirds.  We've made it a nice place to be, and a great place to shop.

Most for this theme put out alot of Halloweenie things..   I did pick up a few of them however, as the grand opening for this amazing place is in only a couple of hour, I wanted to get this info out there to everyone.   I will have a list of stores at the bottom of the post.. but definately! Go check this out..   and in the meantime *smiles* Im going to pull up the collar of this awesome L&B Aviator Womens Leather Jacket (blog soon to follow)   keep warm from the slight chill in the air..   and enjoy my coffee and the awesome view..

I cant begin to tell you how proud I am of this amazing man..  Ok, so perhaps I am a little biased on how great he is, however, I also have the opportunity to see  first hand just how hard he works to create each piece..  As many of you know, he is in daily pain, some days more intense then others, but, never letting up.  At times, taking the pictures could literally take hours!..  Besides the fact that he is an absolute perfectionist, his creativity and amazing sense of style show through in every post and all of that takes alot of thought and effort, that sometimes with a chronic illness such as his is all the harder to do. 

Chance, You know how much I love you..  You also inspire me...  Yes my blog has a different tone.. More casual, more candid.. but you are the one who has inspired me to try and make it more ..  Thank you.. and I cant wait to see what more you have in store!!
